We understand how difficult it is to lose a loved one. Our staff works hard each and every day to make sure that the members of our community and beyond are taken care of during such a difficult time. For advice on what to do when a loved one is dying, making funeral arrangements, pre-arranging your own funeral, or anything else, please feel free to contact us, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

 Iva Perfect Pedersen

President

  Iva is the daughter of Francis & Merion Perfect and had worked with her father for over forty years before he passed away in 2015.  She graduated from Pleasantville High School and later attended Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts before she returned to New Jersey to work full time at the funeral home in 1977.  She has served as a Corporate Officer since 1979 and currently serves as the President, overseeing the day to day operations of the  Corporation.  She currently resides in Egg Harbor Township with her husband, Roger, who are both active members in Central United Methodist Church.

David G. Umphlett

David Garrick Umphlett, (grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Perfect), and oldest son of Jerry and Marianne (Perfect) Umphlett became involved in the funeral industry while working with his family's business, Umphlett Funeral Home of Newport News, VA. Under the Direction of his father he became a licensed Virginia funeral director in 1992 and continued working with his father and later became manager of the business. In December of the year 2000, David and his family moved to New Jersey where he attained his New Jersey and Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Licenses and began working for his grandfather, Francis Perfect and is now the manager of the funeral home. David married Amber M. Sargeant in May of 1992 and they have three children, Abigail Renee, Adeline Marie and Allison Marianne. 
They are residents of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Roger Pedersen
 Corporate Officer/ Finance Manager

Roger is the husband of Iva and has worked part-time at the funeral home primarily performing various financial support duties since 1977 and has been a Corporate Officer for almost 40 years. Roger has an undergraduate degree in Economics and a MBA in Business and has taken various management courses including strategic planning at the Wharton School. He was previously employed full time at Atlantic Electric/PHI for over 40+ years and brings with him a wealth of business and financial knowledge and experience. He currently performs various finance and accounting duties and manages the Corporate pension plan. He currently resides in Egg Harbor Township with his wife, Iva, who are both active members in Central United Methodist Church.

Jerry C. Umphlett

Jerry C. Umphlett is the husband of Marianne “Mimi”, the oldest daughter of Francis and Merion Perfect. He is a graduate of Asbury College, Asbury Theological Seminary, and the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. Having been a Funeral Director for fifty years, he formerly worked with Adams-Perfect Funeral Home in the seventies after which he and Mimi owned Umphlett Funeral Home in Newport News, VA for many years. He also worked with Batesville Casket Company in the seventies and in most recent years managed Pre-need programs for several Virginia Funeral Homes. Jerry and Mimi were glad to return to our family business in the summer of 2019. In addition to assisting with daily funeral activities, Jerry will be developing and managing our Pre-Need program and helping families to better prepare for the future.  Jerry and Mimi have four children, their spouses, and twelve grandchildren. Their oldest son, David is the manager of Adams-Perfect Funeral Home. They are very much enjoying surrounding family and renewing old community relationships.

Abigail Vitale

Abigail Umphlett, great grand-daughter of Francis and Merion (Bourne) Perfect; grand-daughter of Jerry and Marianne (Perfect) Umphlett; and daughter of David and Amber (Sergeant) Umphlett.  Abigail is a current Navy Veteran whose love for her country extends even further to the love of all people.  Entering into the family business under the direction of her father, David.  She is a New Jersey licensed funeral director 9/2023 upon completing of Mercer County Community College Funeral Service program.  Abigail was born in Newport News, Virginia on September 4, 1997 and moved to New Jersey where her two sisters, Adeline Marie and Allison Marianne were born.  Abigail is eager to start her journey as a fourth-generation funeral director at Adams-Perfect and to make her great grandfather proud.  She has a profound love for the community around her and states, "There is no greater joy than assisting the people that need it most; and in the greatest darkness of grief and sorrow there will always be a light
of our loved ones that shines us through."

Stephanie Peak

As a licensed Funeral Director in New Jersey, Stephanie completed her associates in Funeral Services at Eastwick College in 2024 before joining the Adams Perfect team that same year. Stephanie is dedicated to personalized service, providing the guidance and support that can make a time of grief a little easier. Her compassionate approach has made her a trusted guide for families during their most difficult moments. She and her family reside in Northfield, and when she's not caring for her community, Stephanie enjoys quality time with her daughter, whether they're riding bikes, strolling the beach, or simply cherishing moments with loved ones.

Allison Umphlett

Allison Umphlett, Great-Granddaughter to Francis and Merion Perfect; Granddaughter to Jerry and Marianne (Perfect) Umphlett; and daughter to David and Amber Umphlett. Allison has worked at Adams- Perfect Funeral Home Inc. since 2019 as support staff. Allison is currently a licensed Intern through the Mortuary Science of New Jersey and is studying at Mercer County Community College to be a Licensed Funeral Director. Allison is extremely eager to have the ability to work at the Family business and follow in her father’s footsteps. She has a profound love for her community and is always willing to go above and beyond. Allison has a deep compassion for having the ability to lead and support during the families grieving process. Allison currently resides in Egg Harbor Township, and enjoys going for long walks her dog, spending time with loved ones, and relaxing with a good book.


Jill Rose-Nigro

Office Administrator   
  Jill is a 2004 graduate of Eastern University in St. David's Pennsylvania where she received a B.A. in Communications. She is the granddaughter of the late Francis and Merion Perfect and the daughter of Roger and Iva Pedersen and grew up around the funeral home. Jill has worked at the funeral home since 2005 and currently works in the office.  She completes the Company payroll and performs various bookkeeping and media duties. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. 
Jill currently resides in Atlantic County along with 
her husband and two children.

James McCartney

 James joined the staff at the funeral home in the year 2019. He resides in Atlantic County with his four children and two dogs. James recently retired from Mission Point Church Somers Point, New Jersey after 25 years of service.
